Confirmation
Confirmation marks the point in a person’s life when they affirm the promises that were made on their behalf at their baptism. The person’s participation in the life of God’s people, which began at their baptism, is confirmed by prayer and the laying on of hands by the bishop.
Confirmations usually happen with members for other churches locally, or at Southwark Cathedral annually. Those who are to be confirmed are invited to attend a series of confirmation classes with the Rector.
Confirmation candidates who were not baptised as infants are baptised by the bishop as part of the service.
To discuss confirmation for you or your child, please contact the Rector through the Parish Office: stpeterschurch.lttm@gmail.com / 01883 712512.
